Waste OIl Treatment

Petroleum sludges generated during oil production on have been accumulated in ponds, pools, and tanks without complying with the isolation rules.

Crude oil wastes include spilled crude oil or unrefined petroleum from pipelines, trains, trucks, tanks, and other sources. Crude oil and unrefined petroleum waste always contain enough benzene and related organic compounds to make them a characteristic hazardous waste. Petroleum sludge is a complex mixture containing different quantities of waste oil, wastewater, sand, and mineral matter. Petroleum industries are responsible for the generation of large quantities of sludge, which is a major source of environmental pollution.
